ABOUT THE JOURNAL
THE OFFICIAL: INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF CONTEMPORARY HUMANITIES is an open access, double blind peer-reviewed e-journal which seeks to explore new ideas and ways of thinking about contemporary thought.
Our mission is to provide opportunities for scholars, practitioners, and creatives to discuss emerging, experimental, and established ways of thinking about, but not restricted to, philosophy, critical theory, digital media, film and moving artefacts, art and design, human behaviour, human geography, and social interactions.
The journal will have one edition published in December each year, available as a free PDF download online.
There are no publication fees, article processing charges (APC) or author payments associated with the journal.
The journal was founded in 2016 and is celebrating its 10th birthday in 2026 with the forthcoming issue 9.
